Today two shelter dogs were transported from shelters to their rescue organization. Buster started in El Campo, TX and JJ started in Baytown, TX. Both dogs arrived safely in Oklahoma! Thanks to everyone involved in this transport. Pilots N’ Paws is a great organization with a great cause!
Lets help feed hungry families in Houston by volunteering with the Super Bowl of Caring Houston and the Houston Food Bank. Volunteer for a 2 hour shift at your nearest HEB or Kroger. Help spread the word to shoppers.
We had a great time in Galveston on Saturday volunteering with Habitat for Humanity!! This was a deconstruction project. The homeowners were donating everything inside the house to the Habitat for Humanity Restore. Our job was to get as much out of the house as we possibly could. This included windows, doors, stairs, cabinets, sinks, fans, lighting fixtures, railings, appliances, countertops, shelves, wood flooring… everything! We filled the truck full full full! Thanks to ExpressJet Airlines and Team Rubicon for sending wonderful volunteers, and thanks to everyone for all your help!
This is awesome! Way to go J.J.!
Not only is he an amazing football player, but J.J. has tremendous character. He does a lot of charity work and is very involved in the community. Perhaps what goes around, comes around…
As a native Houstonian, I am proud of his commitment to Houston, and I’m looking forward to the coming football season!
Go Texans!
Today was a great success. Several volunteers came together to organize and distribute food to Houston families at the Guadalupe Center on S. Jensen St.
In just 2 hours, we were able to feed over 300 families.
Thanks to all of the volunteers for their hard work.
